Visa & Travel to Beijing

Everything you need to know about traveling to Beijing for cancer treatment at Arion Cancer Hospital — visa support, airport pickup, and accommodations near Daxing District.

Chinese Medical Visa Guide

We make the visa process straightforward with official hospital documentation and dedicated support from our international patient team.

📄

S2 Visa (Short-Term Private Visit)

The S2 visa is the most common visa for international patients seeking medical treatment in China. It allows stays of up to 180 days and is suitable for most cancer treatment durations, including multi-cycle chemotherapy, surgery with recovery, and radiation therapy courses.

We provide: Official hospital invitation letter confirming your treatment arrangement, treatment plan documentation, and medical records to support your S2 visa application. Our team guides you through the entire application process.

🌐

L Visa (Tourist) & Visa-Free Options

For patients from countries with visa-free access to China, or those combining cancer screening/consultation with tourism, the L visa or visa-free entry may be an alternative.

Beijing participates in China's 144-hour (6-day) visa-free transit policy for citizens of 53 countries. This option works well for cancer screening packages, initial consultations, or short second-opinion visits.

Our team will advise which visa type is best for your specific situation.

Invitation Letter Process

The hospital invitation letter is the most important document for your Chinese medical visa application. Here's how it works:

1

Treatment Confirmation

After your remote consultation and treatment plan is finalized, Arion confirms your treatment schedule and provides the official hospital invitation letter — stamped and signed by the hospital administration.

2

Visa Application

Submit your visa application at your nearest Chinese embassy or consulate with the invitation letter, passport (valid 6+ months), completed visa form, and passport photo. Processing typically takes 4-7 business days.

3

Travel Planning

Once your visa is approved, our team helps finalize your travel dates, flight bookings, and accommodation arrangements. We coordinate your arrival to ensure a smooth welcome in Beijing.
